There was a Taste of Kittery Planning Meeting after the regular meeting.
The Taste of Kittery is one of our two major fundraisers, and will be held Thursday
May 7th at the Lion's Club.
Today we had our Shapleigh School Student of the Month for February.
Colin Coker. Colin came with his mother Beth and charming younger sister Kate,
and his teacher Steven Frost. Colin likes golf, math and band. His teachers took special
note of his great attitude and intellegence. The club also learned that he won the
award for remembering the most decimal places for the mathematical number
"pie', having memorized it to 21 decimal places! As always, it was wonderful meeting
one of our great Kittery students and his familiy.

Teacher Steven Frost introduces Colin Vice-President Russ has Colin sign a book
to be donated in his name
As Russ had Colin sign the book to be donated to the Kittery School library
in Colin's name, he related the fun time he had last week when he volunteered to
read "Cat in the Hat" to students. When he checked the inside cover he found that
the book he was reading was one that our Club had donated through our speaker's
books program.
