Fifth Tuesday for July, 2025 was hosted at Kittery Land Trust's Nooney Farm. We gathered under the big, shady oak which offered some shelter from the heat.
There, KLT Executive Director Lisa Linehan and Farm Manager Alex Keenan gave us an explanation of the functions and programs of KLT in general and Nooney Farm in particular.

KLT does much more than "just" acquiring land and easments for the purpose of conserving those lands. They are also in involved in environmental education. They partner with the Kittery School District with several programs including their six-week Farm to School Program for sixth graders at Shapleigh School, and the Muddy Boots Club for children of 5 years and younger. Food raised at Nooney Farm is donated to several are food pantries. Last year they donated 7,500 pounds of produce.
After the presentation we enjoyed a supper including pizza and nachos, and some nice social time.
