On August 1st Club Co-Presidents Pauli and Brad presented a bag of books and workbook to each of the attendees at the Mitchell School Summer Pe-School program. The books are intended to encourage the students to continue learning during the remaining days before they begin their formal school experience of kindergarten in September. The group was smaller this year and we did not get a chance to read "The Night Before Kindergarten" to them this year, but it is always great to meet and encourage the children as they start their school careers.

There is a Club Sponsored Red Cross Blood Drive on August 15th at the Lion's Club, volunteers are needed to support, contact Sue!
Next week the Seacoast Wheelers will be discussing and demonstrating the Adaptive Bikes and their planned program of support for those in the seacoast who might not otherwise be able to get out on bikes. The story has been repeated in this issue to encourage getting a good turnout to see what they are putting in place.
50-50 Raffle: 50 percent of the raffle funds goes to support Club administration and 50% goes into the "Pot" , the holder of the selected raffle ticket gets a chance to select a card from the ever reducing deck, if they get the Joker, they get the "Pot" , which as of this week is $166.50
