Club News: "Professor" Alan gave everyone an update on supercolliders including
micro-heat waves and black holes, or so it was claimed, most of the Club
thought he was speaking some foriegn language.
Dan announced the upcoming Fire Department Kittery 5K race fundraiser.
The Blood Drive is Thursday february 18 12-6 pm (volunteers needed until 7PM
The World Understanding and Peace Dinner will be April 7
The Rotary leadership Institute is March 6, this is a great chance to learn
more about Rotary and how to get the most from it. The Club budgets to
pay for attendees. The RLI is held at many locations around the northeast
but the one in March is at the York County Community college in Wells,
just "Up the road a piece"
Set aside March 17, Joyce is going to open her Saint Patrick's day
Irish "Pub" again. if anyone doubts that it is.a great party - check out our Photo Album under "Socials" . We will need a photograher this
year, with deep regrets your editor will be away, so please bring cameras!
Meeting Program:
We started our Club Assembly with a bang . Dee had her whole family join us.
President Julie, President-elect Russ, and Dee called our only Junior Kittery Rotarian
Jackson Yeaton to the front. Together they presented Jackson a Paul Harris Fellow
given by his grandmother Dee in his honor. Jackson has supported our Club for years
at our service events and is a very familiar face to our members .

Obie gave us an update on the everyfifteen minute project. The project planning is
proceeding very well and is on track. Congratulations to all involved.
50-50 Raffle: 50% of the pot goes for club administration and 50% goes to the lucky
individual if their raffle ticket is chosen and they select the one joker hidden in
the ever-decreasing deck of cards. If the joker is not drawn then the pot
rolls over to the next week).
Pam H won the raffle and drew the 4 of clubs and lost over $200
(I forgot to write down the current total)
