Rob Werner introduced us to the organization "Americans for Campaign
Reform". The organization is working to provide public funding for all
elections similiar to the model in Maine. Their intent is to free
politicians from the obligation to major donors and to
free them from the need to spend a major portion of their time
fundraising. He urged those who agreed with the need to let their
legislators know their support for the effort. The web site for their
program is www.just6dollars.org, Rob left information for us that we
will have out for the next meeting.
50-50 Rafflle
