~ Visiting Rotarians: None
~ Guests: Barbara Moulton
Meeting Program: .
This meeting was our Club Assembly but with so many awayt or having to scoot
we will need to hold our annual meeting and vote of the 2009-2010 Officers next
week.
Barbara Moulton was our guest today and we presented her a check for $600
plus clothes, food , and toys which have been collected for Kittery Holiday Baskets.
Barbara's mother started Kittery Holiday Baskets and organized it for 25 years before
Barbara and her sister took over. Barbara has been organizing the effort for the past 33
years. This year she reports that they have the highest number of families and children
they have ever had, 125 families with a total of 165 children. Kittery Holiday Baskets tries
to provide underwear, pajamas, new clothes and winter coats as well as at least one
big toy and a couple of little ones for each child.

Pauli Rines, one of our most recent new members, presents Barbara Moulton
a Club check for $600 for Kittery Holiday Baskets
She frequently is asked to help families during the course of the year and last year
set another record as one family was located and provided with food, clothes, and gifts
at 7:30am Christmas day. "Normal" distribution will be this coming Tuesday, packing will
start this Friday and go through Saturday and Monday, with the food being boxed Tuesday
morning early for pickup at noon. The Kittery Rotary Club has been supporting Kittery
Holiday Baskets since we were chartered 22 years ago.
This year, in addition to food collected at Thanksgiving, and food and gifts collected
for Christmas, the Club has provided KHB a total of $1000 from the club budget and
Happy/Sad dollars this quarter.
50-50 Raffle
(50% of the pot goes for club administration and 50% goes to the lucky individual if their
