~ News:         Foundation Chair Dave announced that this is the last meeting of the

Fall Rotary Foundation Annual Fund Drive.  The donations and matching

funds from the Club will be submitted in December. Anyone wishing to

donate please let Dave know before December 1st. Rotary encourages all

Rotarians to become sustaining members by contributing at least $100 a year

We still have matching funds available in the budget.

On Monday Barbara Moulton was presented a Kittery Rotary donation

check for $400 for Kittery Holiday Baskets,as the Thanksgiving Boxes were

being packed. Our canned goods were brought to the collection area last week.

Kittery Holiday Baskets                                                 of food, checking each is complete

During  the next month we will continue to dedicate our Happy/Sad Dollars to

Kittery Holiday Baskets, collect canned goods, and bring unwrapped gifts for the

children for Christmas. Barbara says all gifts are welcome but she stresses that

underwear and pajamas for all ages of children are needed. These garments are

not so commonly donated and are very needed by the children.

KHB tries to supply at least two complete new sets of clothes for each child

as well as at least one  large gift and a couple of smaller ones for each child.

The Christmas dollar donations go to fill in food and clothing needs and last year

Barbara reported being able to get $1000 worth of clothes for $138 at a JC Penny

sale the day after Christmas. Over 100 families are helped by KHB and most have

several children, Last year over 120 children were involved.
