We had guests who had to buy everything they sat on and ate on at a "yard sale"
for polio from Pres. Julie & Dee assisted by our great junior club member Jackson.
There was a hunter's camp with popping guns and glassy eyed raccoon toasting a
pheasant, a couple of physcodelic parties, a fiesta and a Greek table that put on a
whole dance routine. Pat raised $570 with our winner take all wine raffle.

The "'bad girls'" had flip flops and a gorgeous centerpiece, the Kittery Estates
crew traded last year's elegant evening gowns for gray haired wigs and a minature TV
and in the back Granny Marie supposedly filled her crew with Possum Stew. Many
thanks to the Mason's and to Alan for the great venue and service. Many thanks also
to Jeff Furbish who once again set the merry tone and kept the evening going as MC.

Thank you Jeff!

""You are a real sport!"
In other breaking news the appearance of a white flag announced the recognition
of the World Series success of Red Sox rivals the Yankees. A tickled Obie noted
that Joyce is a very gracious losing fan and hoped he would never have to return the
favor.
Meeting Program:

.Richard Lowe spoke to us about the National Alliance on Mental Illness
(NAMI). NAMI helps people learn and talk about mental illness through a national
program (on the web at www.nami.org) and State programs (www.NAMI-ME@nami.org).
Richard facilitates local activities through NAMI Lights the Way-Sanford and lives in Eliot
Maine. The goals of NAMI are support, education, and advocay. He walked us through
the various types of activities, support and education that are currently being provided
in York County. The Sanford based group meets every 1st and 3rd Thursday at the North
Congregational Church Education Building on Main Street in Sanford.
50-50 Raffle
(50% of the pot goes for club administration and 50% goes to the lucky individual if their
raffle ticket is chosen and they select the one joker hidden in the ever-decreasing deck of
cards. If the joker is not drawn then the pot rolls over to the next week).
Alan won the raffle and let our guest speaker draw the card for him.
Unfortunately he drew the 5 of Spades, losing $488 (21 cards left!)
