ideas from presentors and our fellow clubs.

up to toss pumpkins and spiders into the "hungry pumpkin" and walk away with candy.
Besides Ellen and Dave, Ellen's grandaughter Hayley returned to once again support
the Club, this time she also brought her friend Lindsey. Karol Gooch also was a helper
in her "Lady of the Castle' costume.

- During November and December in addition to our Happy /Sad Dollars each member
is asked to bring in a canned good for Kittery Holiday Baskets at each meeting.
- November is "Rotary Foundation" Month. During February (and again in the
spring) we solicit for donations to the Foundation. Donations to the Foundation
go one-half into the World Fund and one half comes back to the District. The
World Fund supports International Rotary Initiatives in Education, Health and
Hungar, and World Peace. District Funds go (among other programs) to
Matching Grants and District Simplified Grants such as the Grant we received
for the "Everyfifteen Minutes" program.
The Club sets aside $1000 in our budget to match club members donations of
any amount, so a $50 donation will be credited as $100 toward personal
recognition, PHF Awards, as long as the funds last. Every Rotarian is asked to
consider giving $100 each year to the Foundation. We realize not everyone can
do that, which is why the Club budget includes $1000 as a baseline donation from
all of us. Donations can be given to the Club Foundation Chair, Dave Gooch. In
our 22 years the Club has given over $90,000 to the Foundation.
