      Meeting Program:  .

             

               President Julie presented a very nice thank-you note from Ashley Waddell,

            our Adult Education $900 Scholarship winner; and another nice thank-you note

            from our new Paul Harris Fellow, Pauli Rines.

 

               President Julie and PPx3 Sue presented a CAT-kit to Larry in his role as Kittery

            School Superintendent.  PPx3 Sue had requested that in lieu of an end-of-year

            president's gift,(and a third Past President's pin)  that the Club provide a CAT-Kit

            to the Kittery School System. Larry noted that several of the Regional School systems

            were working on a joint program for education of children with autism.

The CAT-kits are a Creative Learning tool providing visual aides to learning

 

               President -Elect Russ presented our speaker for the meeting, our own Dee Bickmore,

            who is the Director of York Hospice. She announced it was their 30th anniversary this

            year and that they will be having a fund raising dinner next week in York, tickets $10

            or $8 for seniors. Dee told of what the Hospice does and a little of their history. President

            Julie is a member of their Board and the volunteer training is done at the Pelkey Funeral

            Home.

                Lezlye had donated a box of shirts for the clothes to Kenya project and Bill had also

           brought in a bag of clothes.Dan indicated he already had a half a box ready, so  after the

           meeting  President Sue authorized Dan to go ahead and ship two boxes at this time.

                

      50-50 Raffle

          (50% of the pot goes for club administration and 50% goes to the lucky individual if their       

          raffle ticket is chosen and they select the one joker hidden in the ever-decreasing deck of

          cards. If the joker is not drawn then the pot rolls over to the next week). 

 

          President Julie won the raffle and drew the eight of hearts, losing $228.50

               July 21 - Club Assembly

               July 28 - Brad Hirst will talk about the Rotary Youth Exchange and our

                             incoming student.

               October 30th - Our Official District Governor visit by DG Jeff Pelkey
