~ News: Dee reported that when the golf raffle was announced at the District
Assembly a group of Club Members sitting together had decided
that Alan did such a good job as Sergeant-At-Arms that they should
all chip in and buy him the first ticket, she presented the ticket to Alan.
The golf raffle information is as follows:(From a reminder e-mail sent out by DG Brad)
FORE! FOR FOUR golf raffle to raise funds for PolioPlus - All of you
should have your golf raffle tickets - and hopefully are having fun selling
them! Remember, you are under no obligation to sell these tickets.
This is a fundraiser designed to supplement your PolioPlus fundraising
efforts throughout this Rotary year. Sell as many tickets as you can to
fellow members, your friends and family, co-workers, etc. At $20.00 a ticket
this is a fantastic deal for all golf enthusiasts. All money collected for
the ticket sales will go through your club - YOUR CLUB WILL BE
CREDITED WITH THE $ AMOUNT RAISED, NOT THE DISTRICT!
However, you must write a check to Rotary District 7780 for the amount
collected, include all of the ticket stubs completely filled out and either give
them to your assistant governor no later than June 10th

Brad Hirst encouraged anyone with outstanding A.M.I.G.O.S. buckets
to get them to him very soon. He believes that the seacoast will be sending
down almost 1000 buckets of food to Honduras for this summer's program.
President Sue reminded all members that we need to get the
Taste of Kittery tickets sold and the information in to Marie so she
is prepared with the list of Silent Auction numbers.Silent Auction items
are needed and can be left with Julie at Kennebunk Savings Bank or given
to Pat We still have about 30 tickets unsold and this represents $900 for
our next year's service projects.

The District Conference Registrations need to be in by next week,
the deadline for releasing the rooms being held has been extended to next week
Meeting Program: .

Service Projects Committee Chair Ellen presented Barbara Fernald
a Club donation check for $432.50 for the Foot Prints Food Pantry. The money
represents a budgeted donation and the Happy/Sad dollars for the last quarter
regular meeting days. Barbara expressed how much support was needed, and how
much the Rotary funds would help with the growing numbers of needy families in the
current economy.

Ellen also presented a Club donation check of $100 for York Hospice
to Club member Dee. Dee is the Director of York Hospice;
York Hospice serves Kittery as well as York.

Maureen Hedge-Olsen and Peggy Conroy of Seacoast Lymaid talked
about Lyme disease, the seriousness of long term and chronic lyme disease
and the difficulties in diagnosing the disease. They are part of a support group
of Lyme disease sufferers who share information on the disease and resouces
for detection, prevention and recovery.They brought with them resouces on Tick
identification, books on Lyme Disease and associated diseases as well as
information about a short film on the subject to be presented at the Eliot Library

50-50 Raffle
(50% of the pot goes for club administration and 50% goes to the lucky individual if their
raffle ticket is chosen and they select the one joker hidden in the ever-decreasing deck of
cards. If the joker is not drawn then the pot rolls over to the next week).
Joyce won the raffle and then drew the 7 of clubs, losing $40
