Polio Matching Grant challenge. On June 3rd at the Ogunquit Playhouse
there will be a special performance of "A Chorus Line". The tickets are $47
each and $10 of each ticketsold will be reimbursed to Rotary as a donation
for the Polio Eradication Challenge.
The show is at 8 pm. Each Rotary Club in the District will be credited for
the donation of individuals coming from the zip code of their club. There are
688 seats and they hope to raise over $5000 for the Polio Eradication
Campaign. The performance is at 8 PM and a cash wine, beer, and cheese
reception will start at 6:45 for early arrivals
. Congratulations to the York Rotary Club for pulling this together!

Treasurer Bill showed up at the meeting well "armed" with body art, your editor
did not get the story behind the decoration but they were definitely intricate!

Sargent-at-arms Alan had a busy time as a large turn-out of members and
guests had a lot to share this morning, some fun, some serious, but all shared.
We all really appreciate the effort of Greg and Susie and their team at Kittery
Estates in being able to accomadate the surge in attendance with
another great breakfast..
Meeting Program: .
President Sue, Julie, and Pat reminded everyone that a week from Thursday
is our "Taste of Kittery". We are well stocked with supporting food vendors,
but we still need plenty of great silent auction items. We also need to get the
tickets sold and the information to marie. The tickets are also the individual's bid
numbers so they have to be logged in ahead of time. No tickets can be sold at
the door.

Members are each asked to bring at bottle of wine to the meeting next week,
the collection will be raffled off together at the Taste of Kittery,
Today was Student of the Month day We had the plaques from the school available
as they have been briefly taken down for updating..

Club vice-president Russ showed off the Student of
the Month plaques which are hung near the entrance
at the two schools.

We were very glad to have the March Shapleigh Student of the month
Max Lieber and his mother Kristen join us with teacher Wes Rhames.

Traip April Student of the Month Heather Orr was joined by her parents
Sharon and Steve and her sister Sarah, along with teacher and coaches Loren
Dow and Paul Marquis.

Shapleigh Teacher Wes Rhames took obvious pride in introducing Max Lieber,
Max has demonstrated both great ability and attitude.

Heather Orr looked a little embarrased as teachers and coaches Paul Marquis and
Loren Dow praised her talents as a student and athlete. Heather has demonstrated
both ability and leadership in her participation in basketball and field hockey all
through her years at R.W. Traip Academy

Russ led a round of applause for the parents of Max and Heather as he
recognized their part in molding the character of two great students
50-50 Raffle
(50% of the pot goes for club administration and 50% goes to the lucky individual if their
raffle ticket is chosen and they select the one joker hidden in the ever-decreasing deck of
cards. If the joker is not drawn then the pot rolls over to the next week).
Bill won the raffle and drew the 5 of diamonds, losing $21!
