     Guests and Happenings:

         ~ Visiting Rotarians: Russ Hilliard from the Hopkinton NH Rotary Club

         ~ Guests:  No Guests

 

       Key News - Russ Hilliard is going to Tanzania for four months to teach law,

                  all wished him well and encouraged him to come back and do a program

                  on his experiances. 

 

      Meeting Program:  Club Assembly

 

           Dan Hale has sent off another box of club donated clothes to Kenya.

               He suggests we have a line item for about $200 a year to fund three

               boxes annually

 

           Membership Chair Pam suggested the club take advantage of Robert's

              Maine Grill's community Night ($9 dinner) on Tuesdays and hold a

              social evening at the restaurant, the idea was well recieved.

 

           The Club decided to hold our free dinner for Seniors on Sunday March 22nd

 

           President Elect Julie announced that the 2009-2010 Slogan will be

               "The Future of Rotary is In Your Hands"

     

           President Sue reminded everyone about the Rotary Leadership Institute

                March 7th at York County Community College.          

                

      59-50 Raffle

          (50% of the pot goes for club administration and 50% goes to the lucky individual if their       

          raffle ticket is chosen and they select the one joker hidden in the ever-decreasing deck of

          cards. If the joker is not drawn then the pot rolls over to the next week).

 

            Pam Gray won the raffle but missed the Joker and lost $89.50

Club Reminders:

 

          Happy/Sad Dollars on Students of the Month meetings will fund our

               3rd Grade Dictionary project.

           For other meetings this quarter Happy/Sad Dollars will go to Footprints

               Food Pantry

         Invite a friend to a Meeting, "'Briefly Business" can be an insentive for  them

            to make the time available.
